On March 9, 2017, South African waterman Chris Bertish became the first person to stand-up paddle across the Atlantic Ocean – solo, unsupported and unassisted – when he completed the voyage from Morocco to the Caribbean island of Antigua. Bertish used the record-breaking voyage to raise funds in an innovative way by establishing sustainable annuities for Operation Smile, Signature of Hope Trust and The Lunchbox Fund.

Chris is busy putting together his next film on the Solo Atlantic paddle 'Standing alone'
