As per shaper
"The FM is the result of my own quiver's development. What I wanted was something more aggressive, with an unmistakable ease and flow rolling onto rail, and powerful drive and projection when coming off. I wanted to take the forgiveness of the ThickLizzy, and the 3-Dimensional roll and feel of the v.Bowls but put it into hyperdrive so to speak.

Designed for better waves and big carves but definitely not limited to the best days. The FM’s core design is shifted and altered within our size-range to provide a wide range of feelings across a huge spectrum of lengths and outline types; Ranging from aggressive pocket-surfing 6'6 to the unmistakable flow of the 8'1 and beyond - with the mid 7' range being the 'baseline' of the spectrum for the design."

Size is your friend on the FM - they surf smaller than they measure so don't be afraid of length.

THE DEPTH OF THE FM
Worldwide, the FM has developed a reputation as an extremely refined performance midlength. The FM variations offered differ widely, as they are all scanned from various differing FM's developed over the last number of years. Some excel in smaller waves, and some do their best work when its firing. There are differences in rocker, outline, rails, and depth of bottom shape. Some of the sizes are scanned from very early magic FMs (notice the 7'2, with the original straight channels) and some are more recent variations (the 6'2 and 6'4 have a rounder outline and more flowing rocker, with the vee pushed back more than the larger versions).
