You may bump into Robin at the shop, on the water, or on the sidewalk, surfing the streets of Toronto for she is one of the original Ontario surfer girls. Robin is a great mentor for anyone looking to get into the surf, skate and SUP scene as she offers nothing but positive vibes and sound advice based on years of practice.
Robin learned to surf in Waikiki in 2000, and quickly learned that there’s a lot more to surfing than riding the wave; you have to paddle, paddle, paddle! But what all surfers know is that time and effort can equal life-changing rewards. Robin discovered lake surfing in 2005 and was dumbfounded that it was in her backyard this entire time; a common reaction with the general public upon learning that you can surf on a lake. So, of course, she was stoked and has continued to surf the lakes ever since.
Surfing has brought Robin to Hawaii, California, Costa Rica, Vancouver Island and some east coast US spots. Like many others who got into surfing, Robin got heavily involved in skateboarding, particularly the longboard. Get Robin on a longboard skateboard and watch her footwork; you’d swear she was riding a longboard surfboard!
When Robin’s not riding sideways, (she didn’t even take a break on her wedding day) she’s busy with her real estate career: Surf, Skate, and Real Estate.
