I always loved the water and since I can remember I wouldn't stop until I was a prune. Starting surfing at age 8 with my older bro and mom at Frenchman's Bay as my Mom was an avid Fall sailor and knew this is the best time for weather and waves on the lakes. We rode 4-foot foam only surfboards from Canadian tire until our chest was raw.

I took a break from the lakes to finish University where I surfed a perfect, small tropical point on the island of Crete (windswell too) for 3 months while digging at an archaeological site. Surf, tropical clear water Raki and Souvlaki were all I needed. I then moved home to the Beaches and knew I needed to get back in the water and started shaping to make boards to pair my skateboard/snowboard riding style with our unique lake waves.

I apprenticed with James and Charles Grant of FIVE Surfboards and took over the business primarily as a function of necessity as friends and friends of friends would need ding repair due to the seemingly more damaging nature of lake surfing. This afforded me the luxury to build my own custom lake crafts. Riding them in all conditions that present themselves surfing the lakes as well as testing my shapes on the ocean in tropical Central America and east and west coasts of Canada and the USSince about 2004 I have been able to tune my own rider feedback and shaping skill set into producing top performing small wave / modern retro shapes - everything from 80’s throwback thrusters, Kane Garden influenced retro fishes, progressive float-forward lake shortboards and super modern aggressive fish shapes. I have built, rode and critiqued them all depending on the type of local waves we may be riding.

- 5’10 retro fish, twin
- 6’3” round tail, 5 fin
- 6’5” rounded pin, 5 fin
